Joss Whedon's Dollhouse begins this Friday!

Once again I have not posted in awhile and as always it is not because I have nothing going on, but because I have way too many things going on to find time to write anything down.  If you are interested, keep reading.  If not, please return to your regularly scheduled life.

About a month ago, my cousin Rob, who we live with, was told they were discontinuing his position at work.  He was given two options, take a position in Maryland or "bu-bye".  So he and Mel are selling the house and moving.  Actually, Rob is already down there and Mel is trying to get the house ready to sell.

So what does that mean for me and mine?  Moving.  We would like to buy a house, but we don't know if that is a viable option right now.  We are attending home buying classes and thinking that purchase might be about a year to a year and a half away.  So that means finding a rental we can live with in the mean time and changing our lives.

One of the major changes is no Ren Faire this year.  I just can't afford it.  Especially since I can make a heck of a lot more doing parties and Ren Faire only pays for itself.  I will miss it soooooo damn much though!  I will miss my family that I only see there!  Hopefully I will be able to visit at least once, maybe more.  Hope everyone doesn't forget me!

When you are sliding all over the place, picking up kids on a school bus and your co-worker calls to say she will not be in because she needs to wait and let the AIR CONDITIONER repair men in!  Leave aside the fact that this is 20 mintues after she was supposed to be at work (she is 1/2 hour to an hour late every day) but they couldn't have found a better time to fix an air conditioner than during a snow storm in January?  And it really is too bad that she "flaked" and forgot to call me over the weekend to tell me this so I could cancel transportation and that she  over slept so she couldn't even call before I left.  Let me just call bullshit on the whole thing and move on with my day.  Should be tons of fun!

Kind of hard to believe that ten years ago tonight I was in the hospital waiting for the morning to be induced. At 2:21 pm, my baby will be ten years old!

Monkeygirl has been putting herself to bed for a couple of months now. Tonight she asked me to put her to bed. I asked her what was up and she told me that it was her last night in single digits. Tomorrow she would be in double digits. I spent time sitting on her bed brush her hair back and telling her how much I loved her. Then I had to wrap her birthday fairy gift.

Now it's to bed and tomorrow I will try not to be too sad that my baby is growing up way to fast. I am so glad she let me baby her this one night. How did she know it was what I needed?
